It is essential for communication, freedom of speech and education for all Americans to have easy access to the Internet. Many other nations already enjoy much greater access, speeds and lower costs.
We propose that the White House create a commission to examine the options available to the Federal Government and to establish national benchmarks for speed, access and affordability of broadband Internet service. The Commission's findings should be published and placed before Congress in the form of a bill.
