Examine Immigration policy based on reciprocity. How other nations treat Americans who immigrate there, we treat theirs.

Yes we are a free and open country, but unbridled immigration policies have bankrupted the educational budgets of many states, as well as health and welfare budgets. These problems are systemic but have been exacerbated by the unplanned increases in population.
An uncle of mine who lived in Almeida Ca. who would winter in Mexico for years always spoke about his visits there and his admiration for its people. but he noted that Americans are prohibited from buying on or near the coast; that if he was married to a Mexican woman and they sent their child to a public school, he would be liable to arrest for sending the child to a Mexican school. Also the road to citizenship is considered extraordinarily difficult. Let's keep the dialogue simple and set agreements and laws on equal treatment.
