Examine The Rise In Cancer Rates In African-American Communities Due to Environmental Racism

Created by G.A. on September 22, 2011

African-American communities across the USA have been victim to countless incidents of " Environmental Racism" - a crime committed by large corporations which invade these communities, set up shop, and after years of pillaging these neighborhoods to total uselessness- they fire their workers and move on to the next vulnerable city to repeat their crimes. The area in which I was raised in West Tennessee was once a nice community. But companies like Firestone, ArrowGlass duPont, Kraft, Velsicol, Penn Chemicals,etc...should all play a part towards restoring these communities they so gleefully destroyed while the health of the communtiy and the environment suffered a major blow as a result. Cadence should be called on these companies to make them pay costs for cleanup & Cancer-related costs.
