Except the resignation of any senator or member of congress who voted for the use of military force against Iraq

Created by K.K. on August 10, 2015

It is the opinion of drafter and signers of this petition, that voting to go to war with Iraq was a mistake. Over 200,000 lives have been lost as a result of the war, and the casualties are still mounting.

We the People, in a vote of no confidence, demand the resignation of any member of the United States' Congress or Senate who authorized the use of military force in Iraq.

Elected officials need to held accountable for their mistakes, even if they believe they were acting in the best interests of America. They did not heed the advice of their colleagues who rightly voted against the war, and we believe this fact alone should disqualify them from holding elected office.
