We ask that the President request and secure the resignation of US Attorney Carmen Ortiz for the gross misuse of prosecutorial power in the case of the of the U.S. vs Aaron Swartz. The Prosecution actively pursued a punishment outrageously disproportionate to the crime bordering on violation of the 8th amendment of the Bill of Rights. These actions are not befitting an attorney representing the people of the United States or the moral obligations of a just society to it's citizens. We must foster an age of true justice in a time when the power of the government far outweighs that of it's people. Start here, start now.
