On December 14, over two dozen people were mercilessly executed in an elementary school. They were murdered using assault-style weaponry the National Rifle Association has long opposed to have regulated.
After several days of silence – and after decades of senseless gun violence, much of which was enabled through its lobbying efforts -- the NRA emerged to tell America it is prepared to offer “meaningful contributions to help make sure this never happens again.”
We urge the Administration to reject the NRA’s “offer” and exclude this organization from discussions on reforming our Nation’s gun laws.
Mr. President, on behalf of tens of thousands of victims of gun violence who no longer have a voice in this debate, please give the NRA the voice it deserves: none.
