Exclude Senate and Congressional Members from Health Care Support Provided and Paid for by "We the People"

Created by N.N. on March 12, 2013

Proposal to hold all 642 members of the Senate and Congress accountable for their own personal Health Care Plan. The purpose of this petition is threefold:
1) Reduce governmental expenditures to the tune of $650,000 annually.
2) Congress work schedule is 127 days out of 260 total works days, only requiring them to work 48% of the time while most Americans are required to work 75% (30 hrs/40hrs) of the time to even qualify for HC benefits.
3) Our Legislative Leaders in Washington would become much more IN TOUCH with what their constituents face in their daily lives.
Members of the House and the Senate are well paid and having to purchase their own health care is not a requirement that would place any undue burden upon anyone in these positions.
