Execute a "Marshall Plan" to prevent catastrophic climate change and transition the U.S. into a sustainable economy.

Created by M.L. on November 29, 2012

In order to prevent the worst consequences of climate change, we must quickly prioritize cutting down fossil fuel emissions and transitioning into a clean energy economy.

We ask that, in the best interest of future generations, all solutions be considered, including but not limited to: reforestation, carbon taxation, cap and trade, geoengineering and the expansion of biodiesel and other sustainable energy sources. The urgency of the climate threat requires the immediate execution of a new "Marshall Plan" to be carried out at war-time speed.

Where history has shown that the greatest leaps in technology and innovation have taken place in the United States when we have been forced to mobilize resources and address a pressing problem, it has often showed us successful. We need policy now.
