Leonard Peltier is a Native American activist who has long been unjustly imprisoned in the United States for his political activities. The United States should be a place where all people have freedom of speech to voice their conscience and advocate for justice. His trial in 1977 was a mockery of justice, and his release is supported by Amnesty International. His continued imprisonment is an international embarrassment. Can we put this sad chapter in our nation's history to an end?
