Executive order to impose a temporary moratorium on assault rifle and magazine sales.

In the wake of the Sandyhook Emementary School massacre there has been much talk about new gun legislation. Unfortunately, with impending legislation, there is now a surge in assault weapons sales. It would be extremely prudent to impose a temorary moratorium on such sales by executive order. The last thing we need now is to have even more of these weapons in our communities. We believe that our congress will find an appropriate balance in any legislation that is drafted. However, this will take time. With gun sales now fueled by the fear of legislation we are actually moving in precisely the wrong direction. Mr. President, you vowed to use every power available to you office. We believe an executive order to impose a moratrium through January 15th is within you power.
