Alex Trebek's retirement has come to many as a shock. He's been a stalwart in the game-show world with his Canadian quick wit and his iconic delivery. No one will ever replace Alex. His memory will live on with each rerun on game show network. We do, however, propose a more than an acceptable successor.
According to Wikipedia John Kellogg Hodgman (born June 3, 1971) is an American author, actor and humorist. To us, he is more than that. Author of The Areas of My Expertise, More Information Than Your Require, and That Is All - that encompass the entirety of human knowledge. Seen on the Daily Show, Flight of the Concords, and many other notable medium for laughs, he's the perfect average looking male to replace Trebek. Also, he went to Yale (so yes he is smart).
