By executive order start the rescheduling of marijuana so that cannabis medical research in the U.S. is fully legal

Created by A.C. on May 16, 2014

Currently, under the Controlled Substances Act, marijuana is categorized as a schedule 1 drug. Under that law, "Substances in this schedule have no currently accepted medical use in the United States, a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision, and a high potential for abuse."

This is certainly untrue for marijuana and being a schedule 1 drug makes all medical research on marijuana in the United States illegal. We must now fully unleash research into the tremendous medical potential of cannabis/marijuana, which requires that it be rescheduled honestly and appropriately.
