to exempt federal employees’ pay and benefits from being part of any budgetary negotiations with Congress.

Created by S.M. on January 18, 2013

Since 2010 federal employees have been demonized and targeted by House Republicans for legislation reducing, restricting, and in some cases nearly eliminating our pay and benefits. We are sick and tired of being unduly targeted by House Republicans for doing our jobs, and used by them in any form of legislation to balance the government's budget.

Today Majority leader Cantor announced that House Republicans will raise our debt limit for three months, but only if federal employees' pay is frozen for another year. House Republicans need to stop using Federal Employees as political tools for negotiating with the White House over budgetary legislation. Mr. President this is unfair, it’s unjust, and morally repugnant. We have families and earned the right to be civil servants too.
