exempt FERS Supplement from Federal Income taxes.

Created by D.R. on January 09, 2015

The FERS supplement is paid to retirees that are able to retire before 62 and helps cover a gap before social security eligibility. This is a benefit paid to federal retirees but it is then subjected to 50-85% Federal Income Tax. This is just another item that already complicates the ability for a federal employee to plan for retirement. This is a benefit to help but then is taxed and almost eliminated by Federal Taxes.
