While in service in the United States military a person should be exempt from paying federal taxes. If a member completes at least 20 years then the exemption should continue should continue with their retirement pay. If the member gets out earlier then the become asessible to federal taxes. They are serving our country and the government should not charge them for that. Show them that we REALLY appreciate their service.
