Expand the ATF and provide the new openings to returning veterans for the betterment of our society.

Created by Z.M. on May 30, 2013

Currently the ATF(Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) is understaffed and without effective or lasting leadership. Simultaneously, many of our veterans from the wars in Iraq & Afghanistan have returned or are in the process of returning home but are struggling to find work. We petition the White House to submit a proposal requesting that Congress expand the ATF by creating new positions within the agency for the purpose of enforcing current legislation and filling these positions with veterans of these recent wars. This would be done for the purpose of helping reduce criminal activity resulting from the lack of effective enforcement of current laws related to alcohol, tobacco and firearms and provide our veterans with jobs to help them reintegrate into our society.
