Expand Efforts to Curtail Online Human Trafficking

Created by V.G. on February 13, 2014

We the people, want to promote stronger laws to ensure human trafficking is not enabled over the internet. We want the government to oversee and place more effective measures over websites that promote the selling of human beings. We hold websites such as backpage.com responsible for enabling human trafficking by not meeting the required efforts to curtail the illegal content on their website. These websites are guilty of aiding and abetting forced prostitution and the exploitation of children and child pornography by failing to investigate the illegal ads on their website. I sign this petition in the hopes that the government will place more effective measures on websites such as these and protect those that are being sexually exploited through the internet.
