Expand the Federal Compassionate Investigational New Drug Program.

Created by P.A. on August 21, 2012

In 1976, the Compassionate Investigational New Drug Study program began allowing a handful of patients to receive medicinal marijuana that the United States government cultivates, packages, and delivers in joint form to a select group of patients. Since 1992, no new patients have been allowed into this United States program. Your policy should be changed to accept new applicants for the same extreme cases that have been accepted in the past.

If this petition is denied, I would expect a better reason than "marijuana is not medicine". The United States has provided this "new drug" for 36 years in this program. You should have enough data to allow new patients to be accepted into this already existing program.
