The Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act is a US federal law, enacted in 2004, that allows two classes of persons—the "qualified law enforcement officer" and the "qualified retired law enforcement officer"—to carry a concealed firearm in any jurisdiction in the United States, regardless of state or local laws, with certain exceptions. In 2010 and 2013, it was broadened to include the Amtrak Police, Federal Reserve Police, and LEOs of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government, and Military Police and law enforcement officers within the Military.
This should be expanded to include all Active Duty & Retired Military Commissioned officers, since they have the legal authority to make arrests under Article 807(b) of Title 10, United States Code.
