Expand NASA funding and reinstate,or replace, the space shuttles.

NASA has been invaluable to modern society through research and technological advances; limiting the ability to to do further research will slow technological progress and decrease America's supremacy in the space exploration field. Work with private, American, companies to reduce cost through collaboration if you must but suspending our ability to control our fate in the field is irresponsible.
The space race and moon landing were and are sources of great American pride, we need to put our efforts toward reaching Mars, among other goals.
In a down era, a singular goal and focus will increase American pride and boost moral- ultimately creating a stronger work force and accelerate technological advances.
