My petitions is to have large health care organizations i.e. hospitals put aside funds to hire newly graduated nurses. Most recruiters, hospitals, health centers will not even look at your resume unless you have had 1-2 years experience on an "acute" unit, yet there is a supposed shortage for nurses. It is difficult to explain this catch 22 to the public as most assume that there is a huge demand for nurses. I am hoping if nothing else to raise awareness of this problem and advocate for our future.
