In the wake of the terrible attacks in Paris there has been a widespread movement among frightened and xenophobic individuals to abandon 11,000,000 people to unimaginable suffering and possible death. This is a complete rejection of traditional American values, and represents a return to the darkest periods of American history. We stand with the President and his declaration that Syrian refugees are victims of terror and deserve our compassion, not our condemnation. As a country of immigrants, we are better than this.
