Expand the scope of the Do Not Call registry to allow people to opt out of surveys, political and charity-related calls.

Created by M.C. on March 25, 2012

The Do Not Call registry (DNCR) is a great idea which has a few loopholes.

Near elections, consumers currently have to wait for a human and opt out for each campaign rather than being able to prevent all harassing political calls. Attempts to opt-out on a national level with each party have proven unsuccessful.

Some people calling on behalf of charities claim that they are not only immune to the DNCR, but don't have to maintain their own DNC lists.

Please provide an interface on the DNCR site to permit users to opt out of political, charity and survey calls.

Optionally, add a requirement that anyone claiming a business relationship must be able to provide the full details of how/when the relationship began and when it ends.
