We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Expand the U.S. DoJ to provide federal oversight to police departments with a history of complaints by civilians

Created by K.P. on July 09, 2016

Due to the recent murders of American citizens, along with countless breaches of power included but not limited to the deprivation of life, the illegal forfeiture of property, and constant harassment of citizens by law enforcement, we call on the Federal government to:
- Provide oversight through the Department of Justice of police departments with a high number of validated complaints by citizens

- Establish a definition of "excessive force", establish this as a violation of law subjected to be tried in a federal court

- Establish training programs with local law enforcement departments around the country to promote good policing practices and community relations
- Ensure police officers accused of crimes are tried outside a jurisdiction where the prosection or grand jury may be bias
