The "We the People" petition program reaches government officials on a federal level. While this enables us to reach out to white house officials on federal issues, it doesn't seem to directly benefit those of us that want to suggest reforms for laws on a state or local level. This would accelerate the process of reform as well as allow more government officials to listen to their constituents on a more manageable level. I believe that extending this program, thereby giving each state their own petitions section, as well as any districts that opt-in, will allow more voices to be heard and greatly expand a project that I believe to be a wonderful step forward in bringing the average american into the national debate. Every American should know their voice can be heard; and this allows that!
