Expanding out education for standardized test

Created by J.S. on March 26, 2012

In 2002, the No Child Left behind Act was signed and put into action so students need to rise above these standards. Teachers need to expand the way they teach so we have a better understanding of the principles of reading, writing, and mathematics. Standardized test certainly should still be required, but each teacher needs to expand on what they are teaching so students are pushed to learn more. All students must meet proficient or advanced levels on the state assessment by 2014 or the school district could face consequence. Therefore both state and federal governments needs to recognize the shortfall of NCLB and Race to the Top as they do very little to improve the overall quality of American education.
