The Boardman to Hemingway Transmission Line Project, known also as B2H, is a proposed 500kv utility transmission line running from Boardman, Oregon to a substation in western Idaho. B2H is part of a proposed line that connects western Oregon to eastern Montana and the Dakotas, and ultimately Chicago, the urban midwest, and Pennsylvania. The plan balances the cost of electricity over the long run and prepares the Country for immigration reform. B2H is ready, but the federal permitting process has stalled progress.
B2H enables the Bonneville Power Administration and the public utilities grid to import energy from renewable sources more efficiently and to enhance delivery of electricity to the rapidly growing metro areas of western Oregon and Boise, Idaho.
