The FBI investigation into former Sec. of State Clinton's handling of classified email is having a significant impact on the primary elections and will continue to do so during the general election. The resolution of the investigation, either with an exoneration or an indictment, will have immediate and profound consequences on these elections. The American public requires closure on this crucial issue to inform its vote. However, Director Comey earlier this month publicly stated, "The urgency is to do it well and promptly, and 'well' comes first." Ignoring the immense impact of this investigation on the future of our country is a dereliction of duty. We petition President Obama to instruct Director Comey to bring his investigation to a close as soon as possible.
