Expedite fiancé and spousal immigration process stuck in INA Section 221g at US Embassies or let us know the duration.

Created by M.M. on September 16, 2013

The I-130 and I-129 petitions from USCIS for spouses and fiances of U.S. Citizens are extremely delayed under section 221(g) or Administrative Processing at U.S. Consulates after the visa Interview take place. It takes months to many years to have any of these cases resolved and families are painfully separated throughout this process. With this current system, there is no transparency as to what is happening with the case and why it is taking this long. I request that you improve the quality of this system so that it may work efficiently. The embassy needs to at least let us know the timeframe or the reason of its delay, so we accommodate our lives according to that while living apart. It should be expedited also if there is medical emergency situations like pregnancies and other crisis
