End Stage Renal Failure has become a worldwide epidemic. Presently, the only 2 options of treatment
are dialysis or transplantation. Though they save and extend lives, both contain drawbacks and are NOT
cures. Those who opt for a transplant may have to wait
5+ years to find an acceptable match. It just make sense to find a cure. This would also alleviate the pressure in obtaining donated kidneys, which are in great shortage. We need legislature to step up research and funding in conquering this devastating disease.
