Expedite movement in EB2 India for priority dates-USCIS - Immigration Services.

Created by A.M. on May 28, 2013

USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) currently takes between 6-10 years to issue a Green Card to Indian nationals with higher education (EB2 category). In recent months, the green card processing times have become highly unpredictable with no indication of a feasible solution in the near future. This has led to a high level of frustration and endless waiting for folks like me to acquire a Green Card. A brief timeline of how the “priority date” has changed in last few months: late 2011 the priority date progressed from May 2005 to “unbelievable” Jan 2010. By July 2012, it froze and retrogressed back to August 2007. In less than 3 months, the date further retrogressed to September 2004 in the October 2012 bulletin.
