expedite my advance parole document so that I can return to China to visit my critically ill grandfather

Created by L.Z. on March 24, 2015

I am writing to seek your help expedite my I-131 advance parole so that I could return to China to visit my grandfather. He had a brain haemorrhage in early March and is in critical condition now. I filed my Application for Advance Parole (I-131) on December 8, 2014. As of today, my I-131 application has been pending for more than 100 days. I have documented medical evidence issued by the hospital to support my case. After three infopass visits to the Los Angeles local office and numerous calls to the Texas Service Centre in the past few weeks, the USCIS TSC agreed to expedite my I-131 on March 11. However, I was informed last week that the case has been stuck in the background checking stage for almost two weeks. This has been extremely frustrating.
