From the book & movie "Lone Survivor" (a True Story) by Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell...in which 3 of 4 SEAL Team members fought till their deaths, along with an entire group of SEALs & Soldiers that were killed, while knowing the dangers, attempted to rescue Luttrell's team.
Luttrell was the Lone Survivor, but was also near death himself & still being pursued by Taliban forces.
An Afghan citizen, Mohammed Gulab found Luttrell & carried him to his village, giving Luttrell medical aid, shelter & protection from Taliban forces. By doing so, Mr. Gulab knowingly put himself & family in danger,but stood his ground & refused to hand over Luttrell to the Taliban. Since then, the Taliban has burned the home of Gulab and killed 1 or more of his family members, and he's likely to face more attacks
