The government of Venezuela has recently used what appears to be chemical weapons, lethal force and paramilitary groups to attack its population in direct violation of international human right treaties. The government has also restricted the flow of information through cable television and internet to further develop its oppressive measures against the population.
President Obama, please take specific action by expelling all Venezuelan diplomatic staff from the United States in response to the human rights violations taking place in most major cities. Please send a clear message that the US stands against human rights violations, and that the government of Venezuela will be left isolated if it continues these pitiful practices.
