Russia has invaded and illegally annexed Crimea. Instead of merely suspending its G8 membership, it should be expelled. The eighth seat should be given to a polity that is more committed to peace and human rights, not just an economic power. Thus, its seat should be given to the European Union, making it a permanent, full member of the G8.
