Dear Mr. President and Staff,
I have seen similar articles floating around news websites in the past, but this is the latest and greatest reference to the DHS acquiring 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition and purchasing uparmored vehicles similar to to ones used in the theaters of Afghanistan and Iraq:

The American People deserve to know if this (and countless other articles citing the same information) are true, and if so, what is the justification for equipping the DHS with such an arsenal? Is there an impending national crisis we don't know about? What happened to cutting spending under the sequester?
