There should be an explanation as to why the legalization and regulation of marijuana is any different than alcohol being legal for consenting adults of the proper age. Alcohol is credited for the death of millions every year and has a very high potential for abuse but is not considered in the schedule of controlled substances. This to me sounds like a double standard. We the American people deserve a legitimate explanation as to why there is a doudle standard on this issue. What makes alcohol consumption any safer than marijuana consumption?
