Explain how Candidate Obama's view on marijuana has turned into more of the same now that he's in office. Yes We Can?

Created by T.M. on September 26, 2011

We would like President Obama to explain how as a candidate to the presidency, he seemed to be a supporter of state rights for legalizing and decriminalizing marijuana, both medically and otherwise.

However, under his leadership, the justice department has double downed on its insistence that federal law reigns supreme and that it can, and will, prosecute producers of marijuana, even those grown for medical purposes,.

Please explain, officially, why your administration has quickly stepped into line with prior administrations on drug, and specifically marijuana, policy. A very large, if not a significant majority of the electorate has grown tired of this approach. This is not "Yes, We Can".

We're tired of the same approach Mr. President. It's time for straight answers.
