I would like clarification as to if President Obama's continual campaign statements about the promise of keeping one's healthcare plan in exchange for their vote would not amount to false advertising if he was a CEO in the private sector? I understand that the administration argues that President Obama received a mandate in this last election as people voted for him because of healthcare. Therefore, were those same people relying on his promise or advertising of his repeated campaign phrase "if you like your doctor, you can keep him.", to be true in order for him to win their vote?
I just don't understand how this can be acceptable for the leader of the free world, but inexcusable and criminal in the private sector?
