explain how it's stance on spying on journalists and warrantless wiretaps differs from that of the Bush administration

Created by K.K. on June 06, 2013

After campaigning on a platform of change the American people are owed an explanation as to why this administration has kept in place and expanded many of the policies of George W. Bush. Specifically, policies blatantly violating rights to privacy including broad, overreaching warrantless wiretaps and spying on journalists with little justification. The American people deserve more than sound bites justifying baseless intrusions by the NSA because they don't hear entire conversations and a "Press Shield" bill with a national security exemption large enough to negate it's entire meaning. Many voted for you in response to those violations, explain why you are violating that trust.
