From the day I was born I have been told that this was the land of freedom. I was taken to jail for possessing less than a gram of marijuana(a plant). I have to pay over a thousand dollars to various agencies for this "crime." These fines and fees are destroying me financially, and I am struggling to pay for school because of it. How is that not a cruel and unusual punishment? Why am I not allowed to have marijuana in the land of freedom?
