I'm self employed at 32, my wife is 24 in college/working part-time. We never get sick, no kids, so insurance is only needed if one of our arms falls off. Before ACA I priced private insurance at less than $200/month, after ACA it is $304/month with far higher deductibles and caps. Our deductible per person is 6k, we can pay cash to deliver a baby cheaper than that. Not all of the American Public wants to outlive Methuselah, some of us are not hypochondriacs and we don't all have 18 dependents. So you tell me how I am supposed to pay $3,600/year for medical, double social security/medicare for SE, and cash for my wifes college? We don't qualify for any of your lovely grants. Last year we paid you 15k in taxes, plus medical, and made less than 90k gross. Please just leave us alone.
