Dear Mr. President,
Since 2000, the public debt has gone from just over 5 Tn to more than 16 Tn. Your administration is responsible for approximately 6 trillions in overspending.
Why has been few to no attempts on your part by meeting with congress to reach a bipartisan compromise to address this serious issue?
How do you plan to reduce this deficit?
Which key areas of the budget do you feel can be cut to bring spending in line?
Do you plan to work in a bipartisan manner? Our country cannot afford another 4 years like the last two.
How do you plan to impose these cuts and additional taxes against a split congress?
How do you plan to work with a likely difficult congress to reach a compromise?
How will you prevent an embarassment such as when the debt ceiling was held hostage?
