Supreme Justice Roberts declared that the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was constitutional as long as the "penalty" was considered a tax.
This judgement was made noting that under the Constitution the Federal Government does not have the authority to issue a penalty for not purchasing a product.
Repeatedly though, President Obama has insisted that this is not a tax. So I petition President Barack Obama to personally address why he believes the ACA meets all constitutional standards.
