Abdulelah Haider Shaye is a Yemeni journalist who is currently serving prison time in Yemen (under solitary confinement) for supposedly aiding Al-Qaeda. This is because he simply interviewed supposed Al-Qaeda members regarding the 2009 drone strike in Al Majala, Yemen (which killed numerous civilians, women and children included). After President Obama became aware that the Yemeni president was considering granting Shaye a full pardon, he personally called him and told him not to do so.
