The openness and willingness to interact with common man via the use of public petitions of the current administration is rendered pointless by the number of petitions demanding that the president do things that are not within his power to do.
An official statement articulating the powers of the president would hopefully clear up the number of absurd petitions that have inundated the site since it became widely known.
At the very least it would, hopefully teach American citizens about how the government works.
