From every statistic I can read the area's with the most gun related deaths are often the areas with the most restrictions on owning and carrying firearms. As such, what good would banning weapons do if area's they are generally banned in have a higher violence rate than those area's that are not? Would it not be better to remove many restrictions already in place as an actual deterrent to the criminal activity?
