Marijuana use is associated with addiction, respiratory disease, and cognitive impairment. these points could easily be argued, but for ease of answering the question, nicotine and alcohol are both far more addictive, far more harmful, and just as impairing, if not more impairing than marijuana. So what is the real reason marijuana is illegal?
