USA mega banks are repeatedly sanctioned/fined for fraudulent behavior and are let off with fines/sanctions and no jail time for the executives who perpetrated these illegal actions. Meanwhile individuals who defraud the government are jailed. Didn't Citizens United Supreme Court decision state that corporations have the rights of people? Those rights cut both ways. Repeatedly wrist slapping these banks instead of jailing the individuals who are guilty creates a cynical view of government and corporations behaving as if we are a fascist and not democratic government.
