I am asking this because I wan't to know why you sent thousands of American soldiers to die in hails of machine gun and cannon fire on D-Day. This was the same strategy used in the Pacific, Southern France in Operation Dragoon, and in the Sicily Campaign. Why were we not just able to pound the bunkers into submission with our naval and air forces?
